Anselm Berrigan and Rod Smith
@ Ruthless Grip
We hope you can join us on Saturday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. for the next reading in the Ruthless Grip Poetry Series at Washington Printmakers Gallery (1732 Connecticut Ave., second floor). Our final reading at Washington Printmakers this season features ROD SMITH and ANSELM BERRIGAN.

ROD SMITH is the author of In Memory of My Theories (O Books), The Boy Poems (BDB), Protective Immediacy (Roof), New Mannerist Tricycle with Lisa Jarnot and Bill Luoma, (Beautiful Swimmer), & Music or Honesty (forthcoming from Roof). The Good House, a long poem, was recently published by Spectacular Books. Poemes de l'araignee was just published in France by Bureau sur l'Atlantique. His work has appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies, including Anthology of New American Poets, The Baffler, The Gertrude Stein Awards, New American Writing, Open City, Shenandoah, and The Washington Review. He edits Aerial magazine, publishes Edge Books, & manages Bridge Street Books in Washington, DC.

ANSELM BERRIGAN is the author of two books of poetry, Zero Star Hotel and Integrity & Dramatic Life (both from Edge Books in DC), as well as a number of chapbooks. Recent poems have appeared in Enough, Great American Prose Poems: From Poe to the Present, and Baffling Combustions. He teaches at Rutgers, where he trains management students to perform SWOT analyses in front of digital cameras. Lately, he is gliding inevitably towards the invisible red tape that is poetry administration with a giant hatchet made of pansies.

We hope to see you there and for all festivities afterwards.
