Please join the In Your Ear Reading Series for a reading by Peter Davis, Shanna Compton, and Magus Magnus at 3PM on Sunday, September 19, 2010.

Peter Davis' second collection of poems, Poetry Poetry Poetry!, was recently published by Bloof Books. His first book, Hitler's Mustache, was published by Barnwood Press in 2006. His poems have recently appeared in journals such as Action Yes!, Jacket, and Sixth Finch. He has also edited two volumes of the anthology Poet's Bookshelf: Contemporary Poets on the Books That Shaped Their Art.

Shanna Compton's books and chapbooks include For Girls (Bloof Books, 2007), Down Spooky, (Winnow Press, 2005), GAMERS: Writers, Artists & Programmers on the Pleasures of Pixels, (Soft Skull, 2004), Big Confetti (with Shafer Hall, HEHF 2004), Closest Major Town (HEHF, 2006), and a forthcoming chapbook from Dusie (2010). She's currently putting together her third collection, with new poems forthcoming in No Tell Motel, Black Warrior Review, The Equalizer, and elsewhere.

Magus Magnus lives in the D.C. metro area. Current manuscripts include The Re-echoes and Imposter!: instances, regrets. His creative-poetic treatment of the fragments of Heraclitus, Heraclitean Pride, is forthcoming this fall from Furniture Press, with an introduction by Dr. Wolfgang Fuchs. Magnus' book Verb Sap came out in 2008 from Narrow House. Two poems from Verb Sap - "Radical Crumb" and "Empirical / Imperial Demonstration" - have been selected for the 10th edition of Pearson Longman's English anthology, Literature.
